We sell barbecue, not data. Here’s the whole story in plain language.

What we collect
- Orders: your name, email, shipping address, and what you bought — the minimum needed to smoke, pack, ship, and support your order.
- Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our servers; we see only the outcome and the last four digits.
- Accounts (optional): email, name, and a password stored only as a bcrypt hash — or your Google sign-in, in which case we store no password at all.
- ZIP waitlist: the ZIP code and email you give us, used only to tell you when we ship to your area.
- Technical: standard server logs and error reports so we can keep the site working.
Cookies & local storage
A session cookie when you sign in, a CSRF protection token, and your browser’s local storage for the cart. That’s the list — no third-party ad or tracking cookies, which is why you don’t see a cookie banner.
Marketing email
Smoke schedules, specials, and news go only to people who asked for them: the opt-in box at checkout or on the waitlist (never pre-checked), creating a Smoke Club account (the signup form says so), or the newsletter form in the footer — which asks you to confirm from your inbox before anything else is sent. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe link (and works with your mail app’s built-in unsubscribe button); opting out stops marketing immediately and never affects order emails. To know what’s worth sending, we notice on our own servers whether a marketing email was opened and which links were clicked — that information stays with us, and no ad networks or third-party trackers are involved. If an email to you bounces or you mark one as spam, we stop mailing you automatically.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or rent your information, we don’t send marketing you didn’t ask for, and we don’t keep card numbers.
Retention & your choices
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data — email orders@reggiesbbqonline.com and we’ll anonymize what the law lets us. Sign-in security is described in our Terms of Service.
Children & changes
This site sells food to adults; it isn’t directed at children under 13. If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above and note it on this page before the change takes effect.
